Rugby makes me giggle!

Just been watching some of the England/Ireland match - I just find it so funny to see a load of blokes piling on top of each other, especially when the ball has escaped and is making its way down the field with someone else... and I never realised how many rules there are about scrums either, I thought they just went for it. I don't think I shall ever be able to take it seriously :-)

(And is there some reason why the England/Wales match is on St Patrick's Day? I can see some fun in the pubs...)

I love it - all those hunks sliding in the mud. No sorry - I mean the game is a very serious one with very complicated rules.

Just having a break on here before Wales-France.

Don't joke about the pubs. My daughter was working this afternoon and they had a fight. Not nice

I love the rugby! And, whilst I remain sporting and give due congratulations to our Irish readers on their incredibly great game, I was gutted to see England so roundly thrashed :( *sniff*

We watched the Wales-France match in a French youth hostel. I expect the entire hostel knew who we were supporting (and berating!)! I remain surprised that anyone ever scores, as all they ever seem to do is jump on one another.

Husband, who, naturally, supports Ireland (so we finished the bottle of wine!), said that it would be awful were Wales to lose, as all the "mainland countries" would have lost. We didn't watch that match as we were watching Dancing on Ice, but watched the two previous ones.

Even I, who am in no way a "rugger-bugger", was amazed at the start of the Scotland-Italy match! Good for Italy, say I.
