I'm bored!

I've been at work since 9.44. There isn't much to do, I don't feel motivated to do it anyway, I'm cold and hungry, and our printers have gone on strike and Mark (IT boffin) won't be here until 2.30.

I've read all my flist, CBB, MCR, work forum and even (as a result of a conversation) googled The Sweet. Anyone remember them - Wig Wam Bam, Blockbuster etc?

The only interesting things that have happened are the man coming to check the fire extinguishers and someone popping in to randomly donate some money - that was exciting :-), but I couldn't print him a Gift Aid form :-(

I don't even really know what to write here. I want to go home. I am sooooooo bored I think I might go and do the washing up ...

That sounds awfully familiar! *grin*

Only I've got really far behind on the CBB for various reasons and I keep putting it off until I have an opportunity to really go through (or post more fic) and I keep forgetting! Everywhere else is quiet though :-(

Nothing interesting is happening here... most interesting was I went down to warehouse for 20 minutes and chatted to people. Exciting.

I'd never heard of The Sweet until yesterday when i happened across a forum for them! Spooky!

Hey there - why not take a good book in with you then? That's one way to pass the time when you can't go elsewhere!

I remember The Sweet. Well, I would, wouldn't I, being the same vintage as you. They were great - Blockbuster, Hellraiser and Fox on the Run were my favourites of their many songs. I think Brian Connolly, the lead singer, died several years ago.

Remember Ballroom Blitz ("Are you ready, Steve?")?!

Oh yes! And when I first put Blockbuster on, my mother thought the record player had exploded!! Singles from Weston Hart, 40p, a whole week's pocket money... I still have them and now I've decluttered the sockets in the computer corner, I'm wondering about trying to record them all onto the computer and burn a CD.
