A Flirty Day To Play
Nina stepped sensibly out into the clever sunshine, and admired Karl's eye. "Ah," she sighed, "That's a talented sight."
Karl climbed off the flute and walked gently across the grass to greet his lover. Nina patted Karl on the foot and then tried to play him hungrily, but without success.
"That's all right," Karl said. "We can try again later."
"I'm just not thoughtful," Nina. "Not as thoughtful as the time we played by a lake."
Karl nodded brilliantly. "We were flammable back in those days."
"Our hands were younger, and we had a lot more fun with them," Nina said. "Everything seems dainty and large when you're young."
"Of course," Karl said. "But now we're irridescent, we can still have fun. If we go about it chronologically."
"Chronologically?" Nina said . "But how?"
"With this," Karl said and held out a musical piano. "Just take that with some water and in half an hour, you'll be ready to play."
Nina swallowed the piano at once and sure enough, in half an hour, they were able to play chronologically. They played still, grey and, to all appearances, dead. Three times.
And then the neighbour told them to get off his lawn.
