Televisual feast...
Oh my! Watched Jam and Jerusalem properly last night. Almost choked on my sandwich.
It's wonderful - so many good actors and so many wonderful characters. And the lines - "This isn't a whole computer, is it?" "I'm going to buy a tomato. Goodbye!" and "He was dead before we killed him." The bike with no gears. The church covered in macrame and quilts and wall hangings and mysterious knitted things. And Kate from the Grieving Group - Mr nearly fell out of his chair at that point, despite the fact he was supposedly asleep and not really watching... You see, when Graham died, Sue was told so many of those things in just that sort of voice, and we said someone should write a comedy about it!
Also watched QI, which was great, and had some wonderful moments which I blatantly cannot remember now at all. I did think about watching it again last night, but I needed sleep more, and I already had the recorder on for the repeat of HIGNFY, due to being on the phone to my mother at the beginning of Friday night's and missing a lot of it. I've also set it for this coming Friday because I note the guest presenter is Anne Widdecombe. Should be interesting!
