Feeling a little wobbly ...
We seriously thought about going to London today, we would have been in Kings Cross around 9am. Sooooooo thankful we decided to do something else instead!
Been watching the news all afternoon in the Pool Club, they have Sky. Wibbling a lot about all the CBBers and other friends in London, but I think everyone's accounted for and safe now.
Peterborough station was apparently in chaos because it's where a lot of southbound trains stopped and began sending people back. The worry for our city tonight is that an anti-Muslim backlash will happen again, we have a very multicultural city and although everyone sensible knows that most Muslims are against this as much as most Irish are not happy for the IRA to bomb people, there are still some nasty and senseless people who will think it's a good idea to beat up any non-whites they can find. The police were already out at 7pm which is always a bad sign around here.
In happier news, we're making s-i-l a birthday cake, very messy and chocolatey, and have now banished her to the lounge while we wrap her presents. Must get the wrapping paper out ...
