A bit late, but so what ...?

Gacked from almost everyone! but a good way to fill up an LJ quickly!

The random things of MrsRev, aka CBB Nina, aka Lynn
1. I was born in 1962, in one of the coldest winters of the century.
2. I hardly left the house until I was three months old because the snow was too deep for mum to get the pram out.
3. I still don’t like going out in the cold!
4. I am waaaay overweight.
5. I love food.
6. Despite being overweight, I’m reasonably fit and go to the gym at least twice a week.
7. I have climbed to the top (or as far as you’re allowed anyway) of St Paul’s Cathedral, over 500 steps.
8. I love being at the top of tall buildings.
9. I’ve also been up several church towers, Portsmouth Cathedral and Dungeness Lighthouse (twice!)
10. I went to the top of the Rialto tower in Melbourne, but that was in a lift.
11. I used to work in a contact lens factory near Southampton.
12. I spent five weeks working in a nursing home before I decided I hated it.
13. I upset my head of sixth form by refusing to stay on for A levels.
14. I sometimes think the head of 6th form was right and I should have stayed.
15. I didn’t want to stay because I wanted to earn some money and leave home.
16. I was actually very happy at home – just wanted to be independent I guess.
17. I’m working through my life story here to get 50 things!
18. I like walking through London.
19. I hate going down escalators.
20. I don’t mind in the least going UP escalators.
21. The style of my wedding dress was based largely on Sarah Ferguson’s.
22. I could read long before I went to school.
23. I was always very bad at creative writing. (I’ve just found one of my stories from infant school, I’ll post it soon)
24. My brother’s birthday is New Year’s Eve. He’ll be 40 this year.
25. My husband is a Baptist pastor.
26. I have Associated Board Grade 1 in piano, 2 in violin and 6 in recorder.
27. I passed lots of ballet and tap exams when I was younger.
28. The youth orchestra that I played in is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
29. I can’t go to the reunion 
30. I used to play in a recorder orchestra near Portsmouth (www.hants.gov.uk/hrs)
31. I really miss it cos there isn’t anything like it near here.
32. It’s taken me over half an hour to get this far.
33. I’m going to take a break here and go do the washing up.
34. The water was really hot and my hand is all wrinkly cos I hate wearing rubber gloves.
35. One of my very good friends committed suicide 5 months ago.
36. I’m a FlyBaby.
37. My sink is shiny about 80% of the time now.
38. I wasn’t going to have an LJ but they looked kinda fun …
39. I went to both St Michael’s Mount and Mont St Michel in the same year, when I was 11.
40. My first car was a brown and gold 1970 Austin 1100.
41. My second car was stolen twice (and returned both times …)
42. I currently don’t have a car.
43. My neighbours on one side are almost surrogate grandparents.
44. My neighbours on the other side live behind a 12 foot hedge and have only spoken to us when they want to cut the hedge from our side, or if we get their post.
45. We moved here almost three years ago.
46. I used to work on the 8th floor of an office block overlooking Portsmouth Harbour.
47. When I was a toddler, I walked into the duck pond in Southampton Zoo in my new shoes.
48. I’ve been to a Chalet gather on both sides of the world.
49. I’m going to Glasgow in a couple of weeks.
50. I am such a procrastinator!

Mmm, my husband thinks I'm weird. It's like - oh, a new city, take me to your highest building! I wonder if there's anywhere in Glasgow ...

methinks this is the Glasgow Hilton (not sure though - awful, considering I *am* sorta Glaswegian!)

You get some great views from the top of the obs. tower at the Glasgow Science centre though.
