Creative (not) writing

You are about to find out why I don't write drabbles ...

Two of my "stories" from infant school - the first was Read and Draw, where we had to copy the instructions, draw the picture and write a story. I must have been 5 years old and I had a reading age of 10. The spelling was always perfect, the writing clear and neat(except for a complete disregard of capital letters) but the imagination just wasn't there.

1. Draw a big pond. 2. Put six trees by the pond. 3. Put two boats on the pond. 4. Tim has a string on his boat. 5. Put a red flag on Tim's boat. 6. Write a story about the people and things in the picture. 7. Count the number of words in your story.

15 or 14 (couldn't count then either LOL) tim is at the PonD. he is saiLing his BoAt. It is a nice Day.

Second story - probably a year later.

this is a boat on a river. here is a story aBout it. The little boat. Once uPon a time there Lived a Little Boat who saiLed on a river. he was happy there. he pLaYed with the other boats all day. You can see them all in the Picture. the end (there was no picture!)

Nuff said!

Those stories are lovely! And I challenge you to write a drabble in the same style! ;-)

Mmmmm ... 62 books in 62 words maybe? Perhaps when I can't sleep one night ...

I found a couple more last night, I always put "The End" or "The end of the story" on them because we had to count the words and it was a way of getting more!
