Just put www.recorder-radio.com on again (yes, I'm obsessed, I know) and nothing happened. After a couple of minutes closing it down and re-opening, I found the problem. Radio works so much better with the speakers turned on.

And the sheep is still pink!

when i did my degree, i did a module in studio and sound recording. our lecturer asked us to go in to the studio in twos and just practice getting everything working and recording stuff. my friend simon and i were in there for nearly the allotted hour we'd booked, and we couldn't work out what the problem was. we could see the sound was going in, and should have been coming out, and we tried everything.

we thought. then one of the students of the year above us came in and he said "you need to turn the master volume up". red faces and extreme embarrassment all round there.
