He's been!
Window man came last night! I stayed upstairs and let Mr Rev deal with him. He took the line of least resistance and paid the guy, then said we wouldn't be needing him anymore but could we have his name and number in case we ever did want him again! He wrote it down quite happily, and now we're going to ask our friend what their window cleaner is called. Glad we got his name cos it would be just our sort of luck to fire him, get our friend to send their man round and find it was the same guy! (why are there no smilies on here)
And I forgot to say - I was in Cambridge on Monday. MrRev had to go to Addenbrookes to have laser surgery for his glaucoma, and I went with him. When it became apparent he would be there for a couple of hours, I nipped off into Cambridge to find the Haunted Bookshop. Didn't find any books I wanted (she did have a white spine New Mistress but too pricey for me) but as I was leaving a girl came in and asked for the copy of Changes for the CS that was in the window. I couldn't help myself and said "Ooooh, another chalet fan! Are you on the CBB?" She wasn't, but said it was nice to find another grown-up CS person. I was quite disappointed it wasn't anyone from CBB cos that would have been cool, and afterwards I thought if I hadn't been in such a hurry I should have given her the CBB address.
Lunchtime approaches - I WILL NOT BUY CHIPS, I WILL NOT BUY CHIPS it's a nice day, I should walk down to the salad bar place.
