back to work ...
after a great weekend in Glasgow. fairly decent journey there, considering we hadn't booked seats. We went to Loch Katrine and Inversnaid on Saturday, and the Science Centre and Balmaha on Loch Lomond on Sunday. On Monday the men went for a walk and the girls went on the Glasgow tour bus. lovely journey back - cos it was a bank holiday we got a first class upgrade on GNER for £10 each and had comfy seats and free tea/coffee/juice and biccies all the way home, plus entertainment from the cute baby sitting opposite.
The Science centre is cool, we had great fun working things out and seeing how our spines worked and stuff. Unfortunately (for me anyway, the others weren't so keen!) the tower was closed because someone had got stuck in the lift a couple of days before and they hadn't finished the safety testing. Oh well, it's a good excuse to go back!
I also want to go back and do the Rennie Mackintosh tour; I saw glimpses yesterday from the tour bus but I want to do the whole lot!
I've come back to work and spent the morning catching up with 3 emails, 1 phone message and 2 useful pieces of post (plus 6 pieces of junk mail), followed by a mammoth CBB catch up and a look round everyone's LJs.
I am now vair hungry and will have to go raid the shops. I have to get some money first though ...
(and no chips today - I succumbed in Glasgow central station yesterday and had cheezy chips for lunch, my friend had the jumbo chip butty so I didn't feel so bad!)
