Election results
only got up at 11.30, as we stayed up till stupid o'clock last night waiting for results. Well, no surprises there I guess ... I'm still not sure why I voted as I did, except that I knew who I didn't want to vote for! And having read all the comments on the BBC website and other places about people who didn't get postal votes, and (much more worryingly) people who turned up to vote only to be told they'd already used a postal vote, I'm not sure about the whole legality of it all. Shades of Gore and Bush, anyone?
Spent the last hour sorting through old postcards and other cards for recycling - I can't believe how many I have kept over the years, and now I'm having a serious declutter. I would have chucked them all in the recycling bin, but I've found out that proper postcards can be sent to a couple of charities I know, so I've had to sort them out. I used to live in a bedsit with two huge dark brown Army surplus wardrobes, and in that two years I kept every postcard and pretty birthday/Christmas/other card to cover them with. I hadn't realised I'd kept the lot!!!! They're bringing back some interesting memories ...
