I'm going home! It is still cold in this office, though not as cold as last week. This could, however, be due to the rather heavy and very wet rain that has been coming down all day. Was going to have a healthy lunch but guess what? the kebab shop (which does awesome chips) is the nearest food place to the office, and in my defence, it was raining. Have to go and pick up some food for tonight as well, due to the weather it will have to be searching Waitrose for reduced stuff as Tesco and Asda will involve much rain. And I didn't wear my raincoat this morning because I am an optimist.
I still have the music meme to do - I will do it, perhaps I'll email it to myself at work and do it here cos home is a bit busy atm.
Oh, and we had excitement last night - was woken at 1.30am by a sound like someone kicking a door in. Opened eyes to see flashing lights - looked out of the window and it was someone kicking a door in - several someones in fact; I think it was the entire local fire brigade at the house opposite, complete with hoses and going-up-high platform thingies. Mr Rev was not impressed, turned over and went back to sleep, but I had to gawp out of the window for about half an hour because, as I told him when he told me to come back to bed, I have a very vivid imagination and wanted to make sure there were no people trapped in the house, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sleep. Looked up the local rag website this morning and found that the house was empty, so I could have gone back to bed after all, but hey, I didn;t know that! I knew it had just been sold, but didn't know if it was the old people still there or new people just moved in - fortunately for them it was neither, but there's going to be a lot of work needed on it by the look of it this morning.
And the window cleaner still hasn't appeared - although he did say something about going away for the weekend. I've been chicken and locked the outside door whenever I'm home alone - I hope he comes this week cos we're both either out together or in together the next few nights, so Mr can deal with him.
Ho hum - Waitrose here I come ...
