I'm going to have a lovely black eye!
and guess how I did it?
I was attacked by a lampshade. Yes, a lampshade :-( *headdesk*
I bought one of those pleated uplighter thingys in Tesco; there were two types, one £5.98 and one £2.98, the cheaper one just needed unfolding and putting together. Not hard, you would think. But it needs about three people, I have discovered. I screwed the frame together OK, but then I needed to grasp this pleated tube of fabric/plastic and push it outwards. I pushed it so hard it turned right through the other way, pinged out of my hand and, because I'd been leaning over the table to put some weight on it, it hit me right in the eye!
I've taken some ibuprofen and put some of my comfort drops in, and am currently wearing sunglasses (luckily it is sunny today, would have looked a fool yesterday!) and Mr has made me a Dr's appt for 11.00 because he's worried about me - awwwwwww. So I have to go now and get a bus to Dr, and then a bus back here. I have work to do (I know, shocking isn't it) but I guess it's best to get it checked out.
Back soon ...
