Mr and Mrs Rev versus the self-assembly furniture -

People 1 - Furniture 2

It's a shoe rack for goodness sake! That's all! So why did it take two of us nearly three hours to put it together? Fairly proud of myself that I only had one tantrum though :-)

It came in tiny pieces - 4 long side bits, 10 shelf support bits, and 15 slats to make the shelves. Oh, and 70 screws, thankfully all the same size. But it's up now, and our porch smells of fresh pine, which is nice.

We decided to treat ourselves after that and had jacket potato and salad at the Harvester, then walked into town and had a pint of ale and a banana waffle at Wetherspoons. Just waiting for the washing machine to finish now and I shall be going to bed.

...and if anyone can explain to me how to turn that Argos url into a nice tag type thing I would be tres grateful :-)
(ETA - I seem to have managed it! Yay me!)

Most impressive construction work!
Is it doing the job of making the shoes tidier though, that's the question?!

;P

yes, it's much better. We had a metal one before - the rails were slippery and too far apart for my size 4½s, the shoes spent more time on the floor than on the rack. this one seems to be working ...
